On Saturday, September 9, at 6 p.m., the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center will host a Team Up & Tailgate Party!

The first time ever event will be held on the top floor of the office building adjacent to the parking garage in Destin Commons. This event will take the place of the ECCAC’s Annual Gala and will be casual attire with guests pretending they’re at a real tailgate party. A football theme décor will prevail with many activities to include a cornhole competition, wine pong, live and silent auctions and plenty of music, food and drinks…just like a tailgate party. Purchase a table for 10 for $1,000 and it will be decorated in your choice of team colors. Individual tickets are also available at $125 per person.

The next day, Sunday, September 10, at 11 a.m. is the annual Kieran May Memorial Golf Classic at the Kelly Plantation Golf Club. The Team Up & Tailgate Party theme will be followed at the golf tournament, too. For a $1,600 donation, donors will receive 8 Team Up & Tailgate Party tickets, plus a foursome for the golf tournament. For 1 golfer and 2 tickets to the Team Up & Tailgate Party, the cost is $400. Event tickets can be purchased online at www.eccac.org.

Over the past 10 years, Kieran was committed to helping us make a difference in the lives of so many abused children.  He chaired the Center’s golf and gala event for three years and his leadership helped create the signature event it is today.  In his honor, the Center will name the event after him and his legacy.  Thank you to his wife Caroline and his son Patrick for sharing him with us.
