Meet ECCAC's Young Ambassadors!

We are excited to announce that in August we created a Young Ambassador Board. The goal of this program is to try and get younger professionals involved in our organization to help spread more awareness. Over the course of this year, we will introduce you to each of our Young Ambassadors. Any young professionals in the community that are interested in serving and giving back are eligible to join the board. If interested, contact Chelsea Fox at Chelsea@eccac.org

With that being said, we are honored to introduce our
Young Ambassador President, Laura Renna!
Laura Renna moved to Niceville in June 2017 with her husband Michael and toddler son Garrison. Her professiona l background is in non-profit fundraising, event planning, and volunteer management. She is currently employed with the Kids Ministry at Crosspoint Church. Laura is also the owner of Insightful Interiors, an organizing/decluttering and decorating business operating out of Niceville. Laura is serving on the Steering Team of a local MOPS group, and enjoys taking pound classes at the gym, interior decorating, organizing, and spending time with her family. Laura is thrilled to be serving as the Young Ambassador Board President, and helping to raise awareness and funds for the ECCAC.

Please help us support our biggest charity partner! DCWAF is excited to bring a unique opportunity to the Emerald Coast! Please join us at the Henderson Beach Resort & Spa on February 8 for this fascinating Riedel Wine Glass Tasting.

In this educational seminar, Riedel will demonstrate the relationship between the shape of a glass and the perception and enjoyment of wine. To showcase wine in its finest form, Riedel's varietal-specific glasses enhance the aromas and taste components, while finding a wine's maximum complexity by featuring the best possible harmony. When all these elements are in place, the glass becomes the wine's 'loudspeaker,' transmitting the message of the beverage to the human senses. Discover the effect of shape and size on the perception of wine in a glass & wine tasting tutorial.

Tickets include a Riedel glass tasting set for guests to utilize during the seminar and take home for further enjoyment. The tasting set will feature glasses from the new Veritas collection. Veritas is a machine blown lead crystal of unsurpassed thinness and lightness combining the charm of a handmade glass with the consistent accuracy only a machine made glass can achieve.

It was with much sadness that we had to say goodbye to our fearless COO,  Pat Franklin, at the end of 2017.  Pat touched just about every aspect of the Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center. From making sure victims received the care they deserved, to managing repairs in both Centers (she is now an AC technician ), and making sure our staff was cared for, she  did it all with a smile, and a very calming presence. We will miss her tremendously and wish her luck as she continues her career in Tallahassee with DCF.

As Pat steps out, Jennifer Clark steps in. Jennifer has been with ECCAC for many years as a mental health advocate, and most recently as the  child abuse program prevention manager. Congratulations Jennifer!
