Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center April Newsletter
Pierce Family /   Donate  /   Events  /   Services

Each month we use this section to educate everyone on the various parts of the Emerald Cost Children's Advocacy Center (ECCAC). So many organizations and people come together at ECCAC to make the process run smoothly and easier for those families going through a traumatic situation. This month we want to share with you a loss of one of our own.
Annabelle, and her handler Diane Berger, have been a Therapy Animal Volunteer Team at the ECCAC since the fall of 2015.  In April, Diane said had to say goodbye to Annabelle. She touched many lives during her time at ECCAC,  doing "meet and greets" in the lobby to help children and families feel more at ease during the rough storms of their lives, as well as being a therapy supporter with children during many trauma-focused treatment sessions. We are very blessed to have the time we did with Annabelle, and know she and Diane will forever be a part of the ECCAC team.

Thank you everyone that participated in one of the many Child Abuse Prevention Month activities. Not only did your monetary donation help us support kids and families in need, you also helped spread the word that abuse is in our community and it takes all of us to stop it.   DID YOU KNOW in the last 2 weeks, there have been 6 sexual assault cases on young girls in our community? Three  of which were from Niceville.

The following people/businesses participated in Paint the Town Blue, bringing awareness to the problem and hopefully helping to stop it. A big thanks to all of you!
