Join us as we welcome our newest board member:
Janet Parker

Meet Janet Parker, the Emerald Coast Children's Advocacy Center newest board member. She retired this year as an executive vice president from Regions Bank in Birmingham, Alabama, where she had strategic HR oversight in numerous corporate areas.

Parker is a member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and past chair, national board of directors, for SHRM. She is former chair of the Workplace Subcommittee for the President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy. She also served on the Personal Finance Employer Education Foundation Board, SHRM Foundation Board, the Alabama Career and Technical Advisory Committee, and the Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) board.

Holding a bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama, Parker is a graduate of the American Banking Institution's Graduate Human Resources School. She also has a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification.

Originally from Birmingham, Parker moved to Watersound, Florida, with her husband, Gary Parker, a retired attorney and mortgage banker, and their three grown children.

"I have a passion for children," said Parker. "When I took the tour of ECCAC's center in Niceville, I became so excited and we determined the areas I could be of the greatest assistance, particularly in the HR realm." Share

When we receive supplies, we will begin delivering them to Panama City. Every little bit is appreciated!

We are so thankful for the Alys Beach 5K, which raised $15,000 for the ECCAC over Labor Day weekend! A big THANK YOU to all of the runners, volunteers, and organizers of this incredible race!

The Destin Charity Cornhole Tournament was a huge success! We'd like to thank World of Beer, along with Destin Commons, for hosting such a wonderful, family friendly event.

A big thank you to the "Friends of Freeport"! They were our volunteer scorekeepers at the 3rd Annual Destin Charity Cornhole Tournament!

We'd like to thank CRC Data Technology for their generous donation of supplies to the ECCAC!

Thank you to Ana Silva and her family for donating to the ECCAC. Her husband, Rafael Silva, passed away in January and was one of our best volunteers and advocates. We miss him dearly!
