Meet Our New Clinical Supervisor

Meet Jacqui Broadus, our newest Clinical Supervisor! Jacqui has been one of our Mental Health Therapists since 2010, and she was the first person to introduce therapy animals to our Centers. Riley was  our first animal staff member, and Jacqui is pictured above with Cody, his brother! 

Saying Goodbye To Debbie Hollis

The ECCAC would like to say "goodbye" to Debbie Hollis, who is onto her next adventure - retirement! Debbie has been serving as our Clinical Supervisor for 15 years, and we are incredibly grateful for all of her time and the dedication that she has given to the Centers 
 over the years.

Start the holiday season off right at the 6th Annual Sparkling Wine & Holiday Lights celebration on Saturday, November 17 that will benefit the ECCAC. This event will feature more than 30 different champagnes, delicious appetizers, and beautiful lights. Enjoy the sounds of the season with carolers, the first tree lighting of the year, and more!  To purchase your tickets,

Join us on Sunday, November 18 for the 39th Annual Toys 4 Tots Ride! Sponsored by Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson, this ride is open to the public. Cost to participate is $10 per person, or a toy donation! Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Sam's Club parking lot, and all bikes will leave at 11:00 a.m. 

Adopt-A-Family Program

We are gearing up for Christmas, which means that we're starting to prep for our Adopt-A-Family Program! If you are interested in adopting a family, please fill out a form online here.

Start 2019 off right by taking the plunge at Juana's Pagodas and Sailors' Grill! There will be food, hot drinks, t-shirts, draft beer, a SUP Adventure Course, and live music by Stevie Hall! To register online,

Sparkling Wine & Holiday Lights
The ECCAC is needing volunteers to help pour champagne on Saturday, November 17 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Toys 4 Tots Ride
This year, the ECCAC is looking for volunteers to help with set up from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., parking from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and help with Hi-Lo Games from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. All volunteers will be at the Mullet Festival Site in Niceville on Sunday, November 18!

Holiday Help
We also need lots of help around the Centers during the holiday season with Adopt-A-Family and our Toy Room. If you are interested in helping out during the holiday season, please contact Angie Harder at!

Penguin Plunge 'N Paddle
We are in need of sponsors AND raffle items for the Penguin Plunge, which is on January 1!

We are accepting donations of new underwear for boys and girls in all sizes.

Winter Clothes
The ECCAC is in need of new or gently used {no holes or stains, please} clothing, from 24 months up to large junior sizes!

With colder weather, we will need coats for boys and girls in all sizes.

We are in need of individually wrapped snacks.

 Thank you to the Boys & Girls Club in Destin for their wonderful donation of stuffed animals to the center. We love seeing kids 
help other kids!

Angelina Makarova and Rebekah Cline are part of the Student Government Association at Rocky Bayou Christian School. They led a drive to collect teen gifts for Christmas. RBCS grades 7th-12th had a competition. The grade level with the most points got to have a casual day on Tuesday, Oct. 30th!

We'd like to thank the FedEx workers who took a third load of supplies from our Center to the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center, which suffered major damages from Hurricane Michael. 

We would like to send a big THANK YOU to Helen Waltman. Helen has created "Snuggle Happy Bags" for children who have been affected by Hurricane Michael. These bags contain an activity, a stuffed animal, blanket, water bottle, t-shirt, and hand written notes of encouragement. Helen, pictured with Anita Kurz, a front desk volunteer, has made each of these bags for the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center, and we were so happy to deliver them for her!

We'd also like to thank Glendale Presbyterian Church in DeFuniak Springs for feeding our staff!

Destin Commons and Cumulus Media helped us raise $9,997 at the 3rd Annual Destin Charity Cornhole Tournament! We are so thankful!

ECCAC staff delivered some goodies to the staff at the Gulf Coast CAC in Panama City. They have a long road of recovery ahead of them and we are doing everything we can to help them!

We'd like to thank the Pilot Club of DeFuniak Springs for their generous donation to our Centers!

Our ECCAC staff celebrated Halloween by dressing up as "Modern Day Princesses!" We hope all of you had a Happy Halloween!
